Who can see a driver’s location?

How load consent, phone permissions and expiry work together.

On this page

When sharing starts#

Signing in with an SMS code identifies the driver’s phone account. Allowing location in phone Settings gives the app permission to request positions. Sharing for a load starts only when the driver chooses its tracking action. Accept, start later accepts without starting sharing.

Who gets access#

The inviting workspace can view location for its load while the driver is sharing. The Driver load card names the recipient and shows when access ends. A carrier verification by itself does not give access to a driver’s location.

When sharing ends#

The driver can pause a load or pause all tracking. Completing, cancelling, declining or expiring a load closes location access for that load. Historical load information and previously recorded locations may remain available in the workspace; ending access does not promise deletion of past records.

Pickup files and shared photos#

Pickup files are released to the assigned driver at pickup or through manual unlocking. Driver access ends when the load closes. A completed inspection’s photo gallery is viewable by anyone with its shared link or QR, and that link can remain usable after closure. The gallery does not include the original pickup document. Read the document and photo-sharing guide.
